Removal of MBS with Windows Vista
«

I have been trying to remove MBS using the removal program from this site. I have successfully downloaded the removal program but when I went back to activate the next step I was met with a blank page. Are the instructions different when you are using Windows Vista? Can anyone help? Many thanks

Thank you for your offer of help. Also with Vista, pressing F8 does not seem to give an option to restart in Safe Mode.

Yes, Sally, system restore does do it, but make sure you remove all other restore points. You do this by disabling then re-enabling system restore, once you've restored to a point well before the first pop up appeared (a week would be about right).
If you've problems doing this, or are unclear, a search on the internet should throw up a number of sites where they can explain the process. I'm not sure how much I'll be around over the next few days, but I'm sure other forum members will also help out.
Good luck!

I'm a bit nervous about doing a restore but will try and find exact instructions from the internet on what to do. Many thanks for your help. I'll keep you informed of progress.

SallyMac, I did try to contact John McKenna on your behalf, who knows about Brute Force Uninstaller, but it may be that he's away from his computer at the moment or I think he'd have posted here for you.
This
link may help you with System Restore
I have also heard that Prevx is very good at sorting out the problem, so if you're nervous of doing System Restore, you might want to try that first. Again, a google should help you find it.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

I have been away for a few days which is why I haven't been back on site. I am very nervous about doing some kind of irreversible damage to my PC in my attempt to remove MBS so have decided to wait until my son arrives back from Oz on 31 October.
In the meantime thanks for the help and the reassurance that something can be done about this despicable scam.
I expect my son may well come on here to ask for further info.
