To cut a very very long story short, MBS have been nothing but trouble from the outset. The most laughable thing about it is, they told us the bailiffs would be round. I think they must have forgotten the small fact that they do not have my address.

Anyway, the thing that has angered me the most is they told me that they have wiped our bill clean after speaking with someone who has been looking into MBS. We received the email (only had our email address as I sent them complaints) about the bailiffs AFTER they had told me that the bill had been wiped. And suprise suprise, when I challenged this, I had heard nothing back from them. I sent email after email and never heard anything.

I just thought I would share my experience with you all.

Absolutely pathetic "company". They'll try and say anything just to scare people. They must know deep down that their days are numbered, and they've invested so little time and attention into ensuring their "business" systems make sense, that they can only tell you conflicting things.

Hope everything works out for you.

I forgot to say actually, the first time I challenged them when they had told me that I had no bill to pay (I actually made them reiterate the fact that I had nothing to pay) but yet told me days later that the bailiffs would be round, they told me to phone them to discuss the issue. 1.) I had said everything that could be said in emails 2.) they are not getting money out of me buy getting me to call them on their rediculously priced phone line. I am not stupid.

To be honest, I don't care any more, everything is sorted. I am just fuming that they LIED. They cannot say they haven't as I have every last email sent and received.

Spirit89:  They sent you an email saying the bailiffs would be round?  That appears to amount to harassment and is certainly extremely aggressive.  Are you able to post up the text of your email here?

And in case anyone else has been threatened with the bailiffs by MBS, this link should help you to know your rights.

Sorry my mistake, it was not an email, it was a pop up. I have used a different computer to email them, this pop up came up on the infected computer. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks for clarifying that, Spirit.

Now, if anyone else gets a pop up threatening the bailiffs, could they try to copy it (try File>Print>select Adobe PDF and you can make a PDF file of your screen) and then email it to either me or Andy?  We'd be most interested to see it (and any other notifications that come to people from MBS )so that we can get a flavour of what they are saying to people.

Thanks

This Platte International, are lying coniving, and true daylight robbers, on Friday Eve, I joined LoveFilm.com, and to my shock and horror, I was faced with a £30 bill that I had no right to receive, this is not the only problem, They somehow Downloaded there file on my PC after I hit a certain E-mail, and to make things insane, I was charged for something that was never on my PC the whole weekend until today.
And as is wise of disputing it, that I will, as MBCONTACT (Some charming company I am taking to Court), are also behind this Platte International, I think they are trying Bully tatics to force you into submission, shamefully for them, I am one fighter who will not stand up to these Kind of People, and if any of you know how to uninstall there wretched program of PC's, I will be most welcome.

Please note that we need to be very careful with company names.

LoveFilm.com is a long-established and respectable company involved in the physical renting (by post) of DVDs, and is in no way linked to MBS or Platte Media / Platte International.
