Michael Pollitt has hit the front page of Technology Guardian (a section of The Guardian newspaper) today with his story about Platte's apparent failure to meet its obligations under UK tax law, as well as raising the issue of how people are being contacted by Platte Media when they haven't revealed any personal information to the company.

  I just don`t believe anyone would actually pay £30 to sign up to that rubbish!!!!

Good article though. Just a thought.... when they say people have signed up for this  have they got any recorded  evidence of this? If they dont ask for details and its that someone clicked on something I wouldn`t have thought that represented solid evidence against a specific person

It will be interesting to see how many of these "satisfied customers" (if they're not all a figment of Bateup's imagination) will still be satisfied if Platte goes under for VAT evasion.

Fraud is a very dangerous business to be in, Ashley (and Mark, if you're still on the scene). I'd watch out if I were you. And that's not a threat from me, either, before your lawyers get sniffy again - that's something I'm happy to leave to HMRC department.

well now platte saying we gave them our addresses,now no proof we didnt and no proof we downloaded their shit.!  how is it we did not tell them our name ,at least when they sent the letter we would know who they are threatning with court.the computer owner in my house is 7 , so the letter was addressed to him
