Forum registrations closed

As the issues surrounding Platte Media and related companies at present seem to have died down, and as the last activity on this forum was over five months ago, I have decided to stop new user registrations.

This will reduce ongoing maintenance required to stop spam.

Should things ever take off again and it then makes sense to reactivate the forum, user registrations will open again.

Both current members and visitors are still free to read all the content stored on this forum.

May I just add to Matt's message an apology to those who have tried to register in recent weeks for the delay, or failure, in giving them membership status.  It has required considerable time and vigilance on the part of the moderators to ensure that the forum runs smoothly over the years that the Forum has been active, and this by a tiny handful of people.  It makes sense for us to take a much earned rest as we are sure you will understand.

It would be good to think that this forum will, in due course, become entirely redundant.
