I had the mbs account manager icon appear on my screen suddenly one day. Then the bills started to appear on my screen. I telephoned and got some asian sounding woman on the other end of the phone who said that I accessed a site called: "my sex world", and that I owed £29.99. (funny how it's always the same amount) I protested that  I had never accesed any sex site, so she said that one of my children must have done it and I would have to send proof that they were both minors or pay up. I went to companies house and purchased the info on this company. Strangely the two directors are never available to speak to and they don't have a listing in directory inquiries either.
My opinion of this company is that they are a bunch of low lifes who don't care how much misery they spread just so long as they get rich. I also think that mbs and mysexworld are probably the same company as all the people who i know to have had trouble with them have been accused of accessing that site.
Anyway I got rid of it in the end by using my symantec ghost program and wiping my hard drive. Then I took it to a friends place and had AVG installed. They havn't been able to bother me since.
TAKE THAT MBS

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, and glad you got rid of their "software"

in regards to MBS and mysexworld being the same company, i think MSW may just be clients of MBS along with several other sites.

Hi ,
I had exactly the same things said to me when I rang them, but after telling the silly woman that I worked for Trading Standards in Britain, and warned her I would be in contact with the authories here she said they would close my subscription... amazing how a fib can make them nervous too . However I did remove them from my comp and reported them to the relevent authorities.
and Im pleased that you didnt go on their site to pay up as they would have more access to bank detail..the company concerned is in for a shock if they think that all the folks in Britain are as nieve as they are.

A few months back I gave MBS my name and address, before I had realised they were scammers. They said they'd need to post me software to help cure my computer (they never did).
Eventually they posted two final demand letters. Was half expecting (and half hoping for) a demand to attend some small claims session.
Have heard nothing from them for a few months
